Political Correspondent, Irish Daily Mail

  • Sourcing and writing several political articles for each daily edition of the paper.

  • Interviewing politicians for stories and meeting sources for leads.

2021 - 2023

Multi-Media Journalist, RTÉ News

  • Reporting on Ireland's most popular radio programme, Morning Ireland, covering stories of national and international importance.

  • Regularly appearing live on the radio and TV.

  • A fully trained mobile journalist who attended COP26 for RTÉ and produced an original digital series on the conference for social platforms.

  • Filming original stories for TV, and appearing on RTÉ's flagship TV news programme, Six One.

  • Covering break news stories live on location for radio and TV bulletins.

2019 - 2021

  • Presented daily live news bulletins and contributed live items to the programme as a reporter.

  • Turned around daily news packages for a primary school audience. 

  • Created a viral online explainer for a young audience on PRSTV with over 350,000 views across social media platforms.

Aisling worked as a reporter with the national Sunday newspaper the Business Post for two months upon graduating.​

​

During her studies in university she worked as a reporter on a local radio station, Limerick's Live 95fm, reading news bulletins and going out on the streets for the traffic report each morning.  She also worked as a freelance journalist for local newspapers; the Dungarvan Leader, Dungarvan Observer and the Limerick Leader. 

2015 - 2019

University of Limerick Bachelor's Degree

First Class Honour's Degree, Journalism and New Media with Economics.

President of the UL Comedy Society 2018 - 2019.
